Concept design was created for Tina Kuyumculuk and first implementation was done for the Nuruosmaniye store at the heart of touristic attraction center in Istanbul old town. The store is located at the pedestrian avenue that extends of the Grand Bazaar. The interior design of the store was designed to resemble a nostalgic Turkish look with a mix touch of eastern details. An antique cabinet was transformed into a display unit with specialized LED lighting fixtures for diamond and semi precious stones.
Mixture of lacquer and walnut root finished display units give the space a cozy yet sophisticated look. Custom-made Selchuk motif brass screen, kilim carpet, antique mirror and the chandelier emphasize the rich cultural heritage of the German owner / designer client and bond her to Turkish culture. All custom made furniture and objects were designed and manufactured locally by the finest artisans and craftsmen. Design processes and implementation was completed within a three week period.
